QUEER BIBLE STUDY

All Bible readings are contextual; readers bring with them their own context (perceptions and experiences gathered from social and cultural situations). But the vast majority of professional Biblical interpretation has come from heterosexual, cisgender people, which means there are LGBTQIA theological riches that remain buried. The Bible is our story, too! This Bible study is open to every person (of any sexual orientation or gender) who is interested in exploring scripture through a Queer lens. We will meet on specific Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm in room 7/8.

If you would like to participate, please let Pastor Allyssa know.

YANKEE SWAP BINGO

Join us for a Yankee Swap version of Bingo on Saturday, February 11 at 7pm. How does it work? Bring a gender-neutral small wrapped gift to be used as Bingo prizes. (Max value $5; you can also re-gift that tacky Christmas present you received!) The winner of each Bingo game selects a prize from the wrapped pile OR swaps it with one somebody else has already selected. Don’t worry; we’ll re-explain it that night! We’ll have light snacks; if you want to bring something to share, that’s great but not necessary. All ages are welcome; kids should be accompanied by an adult. LENTEN READING GROUP

Our Lenten Reading group will be reading Wild Hope: Stories for Lent from the Vanishing by Gayle Boss, who wrote our Advent Book.  If you are interested please sign up by clicking on the image to the left.

We are meeting at 1PM and 6:30PM in the Welcome Lounge.
